I was asked to do a paw/ werewolf hand tutorial...But I actually don't think I can teach you anything. As I'm still learning how to draw paws myself. So I just did a sort of paw anathomy study of the front paws of my werewolves: the Ulfheobar, in animal and beast form.
You can use this as a tutorial if you want, but I doubt it'll help. Anyway, remember that anathomy knowledge is very important for drawing: the more you know of human and canine anathomy, the better the paws will come out. To draw muscle and skin you must first know how the bones go.

Do you typically do your entire sketches like you do the first paw?

I just cant figure out how people sketch things by using circles and ovals for heads and other body parts. I can only jump into it and erase a bunch. Im sure it causes bad proportions, but I just dont get it.

Yeas, I do :XD: What you need to be able to use circles and ovals is to know the anathomy. It consists in drawing a schematic skeleton and then drawing the real figure over it. It really helps with proportions.
References like this one are quite useful: [link]

Actually, I think this is a fabulous tutorial! :D
It teaches you basically what the different paws should look like, with steps to create them. However, you do not say strictly, 'Draw them like this...' which can be very annoying at times. This tutoralet (small tutorial!) is just enough to set people like me on the right path.

I doubt that, if I ever have a werewolf character, the paws will be a beautiful as the two above me, but I'd definitely love to use it as a reference. You have an amazing talent for antro creatures - I can't wait to see more!

Yea...but even if you know the skeletal structure, I dont get the reason for doing circles...why not just lay the muscles right on top? Do you always do the skeleton or do you just do a skeletal-sketch (not a sketch of a skeleton, but like a sketch of lines to notate the limbs and such) ?

quedo muy bien
me recuerda a uno de los sketch que yo tengo en los que sale una mano humana comparada con una de licantropo
