As people were asking me:

I use PHOTOSHOP 9.0 though this can also be used with any other version of Photoshop, and also Painter(I think)
You'll also need a TABLET(doing all that detail with a mous would be crazy). I use a WACOM tablet.

This tutorial is very helpful, thanks. But I have a kinda stupid question. I see you used a computer to get this effect but will ut transend well with hand-drawn work?
